That’s right! I am open to requests! Seriously! If you’ve had a hankering for something specific, if there’s a dish you’ve never tried but have always been curious about (whether its a classic, or something totally obscure like Skoudekharis from Djibouti), if you have this idea of ingredients you’d like to see together in a meal and want to see it in action (bring on the challenge!), or if you simply want me to have a good laugh by requesting something totally ridiculous (yes, I’m allowed to make that judgement call!), leave a comment here describing your request.
I keep a running list of requests and who knows, YOUR dish request may be the next one to appear on The Daring Gourmet!

For decades I’ve been trying to recreate a very simple chocolate chip cupcake – one so good it didn’t need frosting. If I remember correctly it may have had sour cream – and surely vanilla – in the batter. I’ve tried most that I find online but nothing compares with that memory.

Have not seen a recipe for Bienenstich Kuchen – would love to make one.

Would LOVE to see a recipe for pad thai – every recipe I’ve ever tried doesn’t turn out even remotely right even from Asian authors, and you’re so consistently good at all your recipes. Please and thank you so much in advance if you do!

Love your recipes! How about one for Dampfnudeln, of course accompanied by recipes for Vanillesoße and Weinsoße? Many thanks!
Kimberly Killebrew says
Hi Corrie, yes, publishing my Dampfnudeln recipe has been on my “to do” list for AGES! Thanks for the reminder!
