BlogHer ’14 10th Anniversary Conference

Attention fellow bloggers near and far!   There’s been a gentle buzz stirring through the blogosphere the past few months and that buzz is mounting as we draw closer to July 24th.  That’s right, it’sBlogHer’s annual conference.  And not just any conference.  BlogHer is turning 10 and this year’s celebratory conference is destined to be fantastic!

Like most active bloggers, I’m involved in various blogging communities and it’s nearly impossible to round a corner in cyberspace without hearing the excitement that’s brewing over this upcoming conference.  And for good reason.  Let’s take a peek.

By nature, bloggers are social creatures and appreciate the support that comes from building a strong community.  BlogHer ’14 will provide a great opportunity to mingle with fellow bloggers, connect with old friends and make new ones, to swap ideas, eat great food (that’s finally made by someone else, yipeeee!), to commiserate over shared blogging woes (yes, we all know the challenges, setbacks, disappointments and frustrations), but also to share in each other’s triumphs and successes, and to generally just bolster and encourage one another – because we can all use a little of that from time to time.

This conference will also provide bloggers with an opportunity to not only learn from our blogging peers, but from world famous experts who will share information, tips and strategies from the arsenal of their personal experience.  BlogHer ’14 will include workshops covering everything from the blogging fundamentals of SEO and increasing traffic, to turning your blog into a business, optimizing monetization,  enhancing writing skills, identifying and capturing your unique writing voice, social media optimization, the future of blogging in an ever-changing web culture, and much, much more.  The purpose of BlogHer ’14 is not only to provide a positive and fun-filled experience (bring your dancing shoes!), but to equip bloggers with the tools – and courage – to make blogging a successful and rewarding endeavor, however each blogger may define that for themselves.

BlogHer ’14 will also provide bloggers with a fantastic opportunity to learn about new products and services and to form mutually beneficial relationships with the brands we love.

And you may have already heard, BlogHer has rounded up an impressive group of keynote speakers for this year’s big event:

Who:  YOU!  BlogHer is open to anyone and everyone who considers themselves part of the blogosphere; BlogHer is particularly focused on highlighting the skills and talents of women who blog.   All genders, ages, ethnicities, and levels of blogging experience are encouraged to attend!  There’s something for everyone.   (And in case you’re curious, about 10-15% of attendees are men.)
