The amount of flavor these Greek Burgers pack is simply out of this world! Juicy, succulent and mega flavorful, these burgers are a total showstopper!
Downright swoon-worthy, we refer to these burgers as “ultimate” because the amount of flavor they pack is dizzyingly delicious! These Ultimate Greek Burgers are virtually guaranteed to become a favorite and you’ll be adding them to your burger-making regimen!
I absolutely love a good Greek Gyro and Turkish Döner Kebab. And so it was only a matter of time before I transformed this love affair into the form of burger, this particular one being something along the lines of a “gyro burger.” But it’s sooooo much more than that.
Can you guess what flavors are packed into these juicy, succulent, burger patties? First we have the meat and you can choose whichever meat you prefer: Beef, pork, lamb, chicken or turkey. Then we’ve got garlic, red onions, fresh parsley, sun-dried tomatoes, pine nuts, my special homemade Greek Seasoning Blend, and crumbled feta cheese. Then they’re topped with tomatoes, red onions, my special homemade Greek Tzatziki Sauce, and some extra crumbled feta cheese. And it’s still not over – next it’s all of that sitting on a bed of fresh, zesty arugula leaves. And if you want to take it even a step further, you can make your own Homemade Hamburger Buns.
With all of those ingredients packed into these, can you just imagine the burst of flavors you’ll get when you bite into one of these Greek Burgers? Wowza!
As mentioned, these burgers incorporate two “must make” ingredients, Homemade Tzatziki Sauce and our Homemade Greek Seasoning Blend. Do not let yourself be tempted to go out and get the store-bought stuff on either. TRUST ME, these homemade versions will pay off BIG TIME. (Plus you’ll also need the homemade Greek seasoning to make these Homemade Greek Gyros, and trust me you’ll want to try those too! You’ll also need it for this super easy and super delicious Slow Cooker Greek Chicken.) And the good news is that both the tzatziki sauce and the Greek seasoning blend can be made well in advance.
So be sure to grab the recipe for our Homemade Tzatziki Sauce and make it in advance so the flavors can have time to meld.
The Homemade Greek Seasoning Blend can be made at least several days in advance (it will keep much longer than that but I like to use it while it’s still “fresh” for the best flavor).
And as mentioned you can also make these deeeelicious Homemade Hamburger Buns!
I don’t know about you, but I’m hungry. Ready to make some Greek Burgers?
Then let’s get started!
Combine the meat, red onion, parsley, pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, feta cheese, salt and Greek seasoning in a mixing bowl.
Use your hands to thoroughly combine the mixture.
Form the mixture into equal-sized patties.
Cook the patties on a grill on pan fry over medium-high heat, about 2-3 minutes on each side or according to desired doneness (is using poultry or pork, make sure it’s thoroughly cooked through).
If you’re frying these on the stove, I like to use the Lodge Cast Iron Grill Pan to get those pretty grill marks.
Arrange some arugula on the bottoms of each hamburger bun. Place the patties on top.
Add tomatoes…
And red onions…
And spoon some tzatziki sauce and some crumbled feta on top.
Add the top hamburger buns and serve immediately.
Enjoy!

What a fun burger! I love anything greek and this really takes your burger to another level. The tzatziki sauce brings a light a refreshing layer to it.
Mary says
I like a nice juicy hamburger from time to time and these look just right. But, when I make them at home, with just the first bite they burst out of the bun and on to the plate – and it has to be eaten with a knife and fork!! I seem to always want to pack too much filling into the bun. Still nice though.
Shall have to follow your filling instructions. Your seasoning mix is lovely too in all sorts of things. Thank you. :)
Kimberly @ The Daring Gourmet says
Hi, Mary! The key is holding the burger just right – with the index and middle fingers pressing down on the middle of the burger and the ring and pinkie fingers holding firmly on the very back of the burger to prevent everything from bursting out of the back of the bun when you bite into it. Yes, there is a skill, an art some would say, to successfully eating an over-stuffed burger, lol! :)

I’ve probably said this before, but I don’t know how you get these tremendous recipes! I only wish I had discovered this website long ago. Thank you so much for sharing these recipes with me!! I haven’t made them all because of dietary restrictions but I’ve been cooking and baking longer than you’ve been alive and so from the ingredients I can well imagine what they must taste like. This is corroborated by the recipes I do try.
Thank you once again and keep the recipes coming!

Made these last night with a mix of lamb and pork; using your greek spice mix. I did add some shallot and cooked them on the stove, not grilled – they were fabulous!

Wonderful, Nicole, I’m so glad you enjoyed them, thank you!

Do you dry roast the pine nuts, I normally do when stuffing vine leaves ?
Kimberly @ The Daring Gourmet says
Hi Babs, I didn’t roast them for this recipe, but that sounds like a great idea!

I already have the Greek seasoning on hand from making your gyros recipe. I would have to sauté the onions before adding to the mixture. These sound even better than the feta & basil turkey burgers I’ve been making. Thanks for a great idea.
The Daring Gourmet says
You’re welcome, Susan! Those feta & basil turkey burgers sound wonderful, too!

Hi the recipe sounds wonderful, I’ll try it next week. I assume that the greek seasoning is added to the raw meat but your pictures and instructions don’t mention it. Keep the recipes coming. Thanks Karen
The Daring Gourmet says
Thanks, Karen! And yes, the seasoning is added to the raw meat (I’ve just updated that, thanks). Happy cooking!
Popaks says
Hi please tell me what are the Greek seasonings
Kimberly @ The Daring Gourmet says
Hi Popaks, these burgers call for 2 1/2 tablespoons of this Greek seasoning blend: https://www.daringgourmet.com/greek-seasoning-blend/
